CASEing the Catty #145 Merry Little Christmas

Hello Sunday evening! Where did the weekend go???

I hope you enjoyed it!  We had a lovely family weekend camping in a beautiful bush setting about an hour from where I live.

We saw stars, possums (lots of possums!), went bushwalking, found a fallen tree that made a great impromptu bridge, ate yummy camping food, sat by the campfire and enjoyed time together!

I’m slowly getting back to joining in with all my favourite challenges – and tonight it’s the Merry Little Christmas section of the Holiday Catalogue with the CASEing the Catty Crew.

You can CASE any project from pages 10 – 19 of the Holiday Catalogue.  This includes the Merry Little Christmas suite and a few gorgeous stamp sets on the pages after this.

I went on a bit of journey with my CTC card this week!

It started with this sample from the catalogue…

And ended with this….

When I look at the finished creation, I can see it was a way for me to use some of the new catalogue items I’d bought but not yet had a chance to play with.

I wanted to use the Watercolor Christmas stamp set – so that formed my centrepiece.

I was desperate to use the new Foil Snowflakes – they are a hidden gem in the new catalogue. They come in gold & silver and work beautifully for all types of projects.  I can’t wait to share a birthday version with you next week!

And I think one of the things that drew me to the sample picture was the Merry Music DSP…. which I ended up using the reverse side (cos it’s all so pretty!).

Here’s a close up of the centre panel with all those elements…

The extra snowflake embellishments are from the Seasonal Tags Framelits in the new Champagne Foil.  OMG – the colour is luscious!!!

This die set contains the borders for the cute Seasonal Chum stamps, but it also has some great bonus shapes.  It always pays with your die sets to investigate the extras!!!

Please join us over on Facebook with the challenge for this week – so many great projects to choose from.  You can be inspired by anything you find on those pages – the layout, the colours, the style, a technique, the stamp set, pretty paper… anything that takes your fancy!

You can also continue the blog hop and visit more of the CASEing the Catty Crew.
