The colours this week for Colour INKspiration are lovely!
Smoky Slate, Rich Razzleberry, Soft Sky & Night of Navy.
Warm, inviting and adorable!
I started this card by testing out something on my to-do list – colouring embossing paste using a reinker & Isocol solution in a Stampin’ Spritzer.
The colour in the spritzer looked intense, but it was much less intense when sprayed!
This is what it looked like before I started layering other embellishments on the card….
It ended up being a great way to get different tones of the challenge colours. The Night of Navy is a very light version!
The card was a thank you to go with an order for a grandmother & granddaughter duo that love all the new Stampin’ Up! products.
I wanted to show them some of the things they bought, together with some other things they might like to add on their next order.
Creating doilies using the Eastern Medallions Framelits is one of my favourite uses for that set – so that was the next layer in Rich Razzleberry.
And then some of the gorgeous trims from the new catalogue.
I’m very in love with these three options – crinkled ribbon, mini sequin trim & shimmer ribbon!
Apologies for the slightly average photo of this card – it’s been a washout here with not so much sunlight!!!
I may have gotten a little over excited about my ribbon use and realised once my card was all made that the shimmer ribbon is actually Pool Party (not Soft Sky)!
I’m calling it close enough – and using it as a good time to mention that you don’t have to have exact colour matches to join in with Colour INKspiration.
Please use the closest match you have in your collection and share your creation on our Colour INKspiration Challenge Facebook page.
To see what the rest of the design team created with this wonderful quartet of colour, continue the hop to visit the lovely Tanya Bell.
I’m sure Tanya used the right colours! She’s great with details!!!

Love the spritzed embossing paste Kelly and the ribbons just set it all off perfectly!
Fab texture effect Kelly and l love that ribbon detail too! xx
Wow the ribbons and sequins really add so much to the card don’t they. This has worked perfectly, and I can’t wait to try out the reinker in alcohol spritz technique (one I haven’t tried with my paste yet).
What a masterpiece, Kelly. Love all the texture and layers of ‘ribbony’ goodness.
What an amazing card. And I love all the ribbons. What a way to show off the colours in spectacular fashion.
