It’s a busy night on the blog tonight, with CASEing the Catty following up from my Stamping Sunday post!
I love participating in blog hops – they bring out the best in my creativity.
And I love being able to send you on to another wonderfully creative project after mine!
This week at CASEing the Catty, it’s Christmas in July time again!!! We’re CASEing projects from the Holiday section of the 2017-2018 Stampin’ Up! ® Annual Catalogue.
We did this theme earlier in the month and I made a Christmas card into a birthday card.
This time around, my inspiration comes from a thanksgiving card…..
Which formed the inspiration for a Christmas card…
It was the layered cardstock across the die cut that grabbed my attention!
Create this look by cutting strips of cardstock (great way to use scraps) and adhere them to a cardstock base.
My adhesive of choice was the new multipurpose adhesive sheets – easy to lay all the strips out & no glue mess!
It’s a little hard to see in the catalogue photo, but background is embossed with embossing paste, so I did the same but sprinkled with gold glitter (because I could!!!).
The sentiment is similar to the original card.
I think a Christmas hug from a reindeer would be cute… but I’m probably wrong!
We don’t have reindeer in Australia…. It’d probably be the equivalent of hugging an emu!
Anyway, enough crazy thoughts from me!
The hop continues across the country with the lovely Peta Stephen and her assistant Marvi…
You can join the challenge over on our Facebook page…
Thanks for sharing the fun with us!

Wow that’s a great idea and looks fab! xx
Very clever CASE Kelly! Lovely Christmassy colours and warm sentiment.
I wouldn’t have thought to layer the same colour card stock but it looks amazing!
So much loveliness in one card. I think I need those reindeer!
You don’t own these – OMG!!! Next order!
Love the cards. Especially the Thanksgiving card
Great choice of card to CASE Kelly lol. Love your reindeer and the gold glitter in the embossing paste
Wow, How clever Kelly! Love your idea and LOL about the Emu!!!
Great card Kel, another technique to try! You probably should stop hugging emus though….
Love the texture on your card.
This card is a little ripper! So much to love.
Love the texture on your reindeer, Kelly. Such a great technique. I think a hug from a reindeer would top an emu, lol.
I love this brilliant idea for using up scraps!! Like patchwork… but better!! Great CASE.
