Welcome to the CASEing the Catty blog hop, which takes place every Sunday.
This week we’re CASEing (Copying & Sharing Everything or Copying & Selectively Editing) the Love & Sympathy pages of the catalogue.
There’s lot of inspiration tucked away in these pages – and lots of gorgeous projects to start your creative journey.
I was intrigued by the cut out portion of this card…
And decided to recreate it in pinks with a dragonfly theme!
The base is shimmery white.
Using the dragonfly outline die, I cut a dragonfly from the edge of the card and from a separate piece of shimmery white cardstock, I cut the largest detailed dragonfly die.
I adhered the large dragonfly to the inside of the card.
Then, using a retired washi tape (using my jeans first to desticky it a little), I created a mask around the edges and coloured the middle rectangle with my Aqua Painter in Sweet Sugarplum ink.
The final step was to add the embellishments to the front of the card – mini dragonflies, washi tape, sentiment from Happy Birthday Gorgeous & bling – new rhinestones & glitter enamel dots.
I am loving the new washi packs that come in similar colours. I’ve used the pinks today, which is the Basics Pack 1.
I kept it all in the pink theme, because this card is going to someone who loves pink!
Now it’s your turn to join our weekly challenge!
All the action is over on Facebook.
If you’re interested in a design team opportunity, we’re taking applications in June and looking to add quite a few more design team members to expand on our already awesome team.
Speaking of awesome design team, next up is the gorgeous Liz Gross…
Enjoy the creativity on the hop!

Yes, I love the washi tape in the coloured groups too. Great case! Awesome creativity.
Good on you Kelly, for figuring this one out and describing the process. It’s such a pretty and novel use of the dies. Another inspiration I didn’t notice!
Beautiful Card Kelly. Excellent design to CASE and you did it beautifully with the dragonfly – suited the purpose so well!
Am I allowed to say I prefer yours to the one in the catty??
Gorgeous card Kelly. I’m loving these challenges as they’re making me be more aware of the detail in the catalogue! xx
Thanks for the inspiration! A beautiful card that the recipient is going to love!
Great CASE, Kelly!
