With a new catalogue to inspire, the Stamp Review Crew are ready for action!!!
If you haven’t seen a Stamp Review Crew before, you’re in a for a treat! SRC is a group of international Stampin’ Up! demonstrators, who, on the first and third Monday of the month, share projects inspired by a current stamp set.
Today, we’re creating using the Colorful Seasons stamp set and coordinating products from the Color Theory Suite including the Seasonal Layers Thinlits.
They all appear in the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue. It was available on pre-order for demonstrators, so there has been some amazing ideas floating around already. But, you’re sure to find lots more today!
The hop goes around in a circle, so for the full experience, keep hopping until you get back to where you started!
If you’ve already been hopping, then you’ll have seen the beautiful work of Artisan Design Team member Rochelle Blok!
I had a giggle on the weekend when I saw Rochelle’s Artisan Design Team projects using this stamp set. My projects today are quite similar!!! Snap Rochelle! #channelingmyinnerArtisan
I actually made these cards last week as I spent Thurs – Sat in Perth at a training course for my paid job as a Paediatric Speech Pathologist.
I’ve been trying to take photos in full sun (quite the challenge as we head into winter!), which has taken a lot of organisation!
My cards were inspired by two things – winter started this week in the Southern Hemisphere, and as this blog hop goes live today, I’ll be on my way to Perth (again), to see the Frozen Disney on Ice show.
The two Little Misses love Frozen and can practically recite it word for word, and can certainly sing all the songs! I’m sure it will be quite magical!
So, with a colour theme of Whisper & Shimmery White, Elegant Eggplant, Dapper Denim, the Color Theory DSP and Memories & More Cards, I created these two cards…
The first card uses a snowflake card from the Memories & More Card Pack. I added extra snowflakes, embossed in white and a banner/ribbon flourish for my sentiment to sit on.
The sentiment is a combination of the ‘beautiful’ from the Colorful Season stamp set (I masked out the other words) and the happy birthday from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.
The Pretty Label punch is new (and gorgeous!). I’ve added a shadow using the same punched shape, just slightly offset behind it.
The second card uses white on white die cuts – which I love for a textured effect. Depending on how you look at the card, it often looks like they’ve been embossed.
I used the Pretty Label punch again for the sentiment and more of the delightful Glitter Enamel Dots.
They come in four colours are I’ve been able to use them on all sorts of cards! A princess needs a little glitter!
So, although we don’t’ have snow where I live, there’s always a use for snowflakes for Frozen inspired princess cards!
Next up on the Stamp Review Crew list is Juan Ambida who has something amazing to share using the Colorful Season stamp set.
Thanks for hopping with me! I hope you enjoy the four seasons in one day concept!
Do you have a favourite season? Mine is summer – I love the hot weather, and only just tolerate the cold! We had such as cold winter in Bunbury last year, I’m really hoping for a milder one this year!!!
