CASEing the Catty #131 – Everyday Occasions

Happy Sunday – of a long weekend here in WA!

How lovely is an extra day of family time and a short week of activities!?!

More time for craft and other fun things!!!

This is our first CASEing the Catty of the new catalogue and we’re starting with the Everyday Occasions section!

No automatic alt text available.

I always love going back to the annual catalogue for ideas – because there are so many of them!!!

Today I’m going for a masculine look with a motorcycle card.

I used this scrapbook layout as my inspiration…

To create this card…

It’s not a direct translation of the scrapbook page, but instead I’ve taken the key elements and added.

All the things I loved about the layout appear in my card including the One Wild Ride stamp set, Hexagon Embossing Folder and Best Badge Punch element.

I’ve changed up the colours to black, white, Dapper Denim & Smoky Slate and used some white embossing rather than stamping.

The theme on this card was too good not to carry over to the inside and a coordinating envelope!

I was able to add a few more of the scrapbook features this way too!

I love many of my Stampin’ Up! creations, but I particularly love this card.

The grungy style is slightly different to what I would normally put together – thanks to the inspiration from the catalogue!

Guess what???  CASEing the Catty are looking to add more design team members.

To apply, participate in our CASEing the Catty challenges during June by uploading your inspired project onto our Facebook page.

Next up on our first 2017-18 Annual Catalogue challenge is the gorgeous Rebecca Scurr.

Bec has been busy planning ahead for all the wonderful challenges that are coming up!  Thanks Bec!

We’d love to see you join in!

  1. I seldom (ie never) make scrapbook pages so I don;t really look at them as closely- Love that you have made a page into a card!! so many great elements.

  2. This stamp set is a fav of mine Kelly & I LOVE what you’ve created with it. Your idea of embossing the sentiment looks so bold. I don’t think I’ve actually done that yet. Silly me! Thanks for the great tip.

  3. Great colour combo, masculine but not boring! Your inside of the card is so lovely that I thought it was a whole new card! Love that motor bike punched with the shield punch.
