Hello! And welcome to blog hop #2 this afternoon. It’s a packed schedule, but I have a shocking habit of not saying no!!!
Our Stamping Sunday team has grown, so welcome to the new members who are hopping today!
Sara has chosen the awesome Wood Textures suite today and I can’t wait to see what everyone has made!
My projects today were inspired by the gorgeous flowers Nanna Papercraft sent me on my birthday.
Tulips are one of my favourite flowers!!! When I saw the Tranquil Tulips stamp set in the new catalogue I let out a little squeal!!!
It will be available in the Annual Catalogue as a set that can be purchased with host rewards.
Project number one for this blog hop is a tulip planter box. I love the glass vase my tulips came in – so stylish!
To recreate this, I made the Wood Crate Box made from Window Sheet. But I slightly changed the look by lining the inside of the crate with the white wood page from the Wood Textures DSP.
Having a close look at the tulips, I decided that Berry Burst & Wisteria Wonder would be a good match.
I added a panel across the middle of the planter box to get a fuller set of tulips.
Some sit at the back, some on the back side of the middle strip and some on the front side of the middle strip.
The box is packed with some of the brown paper we get with orders to add more texture. There’s so many great ways to use the packing paper.
The final touch was to add a Berry Burst bow using the gorgeous new Finely Woven Ribbon.
The second project I’m sharing is a coordinating card to go with my tulip planter box.
I love the Wood Words stamp set – and I know you’re going to get a lot of use from it!
My favourite stamp in the set is the floral splatter.
It makes a great background stamp, which is how I’ve used it in this card!
The tulip posy sits on top of the floral background, with a trio of ribbons – Copper Trim, Berry Burst ribbon & Burlap ribbon.
The Copper Trim is super special – and sure to be a standout in the new catalogue.
It comes in a tight 1/4″ ribbon format – but when the tube is cut apart, it can be teased into a flat netting layer. So beautiful!
The Hello Friend sentiment is from the Wood Words stamp set. I do love a bit of copper embossing!!!
And that white wood DSP page – oh my! I could use a whole pack of that without blinking!
Here’s the card and planter box together…
There’s so much you can do with this suite. I know you’ll get lots of inspiration from the other talented demonstrators who are joining me today.

Your projects are just wonderful! I love them! The tulips are now on my next wish-list 😉 Great job! xx
These are beautiful Kelly! Love the tulips and can’t wait to get this set!
Such beautiful projects Kelly, they are stunning. You have chosen to do so many lovely details on them both. Love your addition of the brown paper in the planter. Unfortunately SU no longer use that in the UK and also (I think) across the EU. They, surprisingly use the air-filled plastic pouches. I miss the brown paper and would use it for so, so many things it never went to waist. Thank you for all you inspiration. take care.
Stunning Kelly. Yeah… me to loving that washed wood look.
Wow!! I absolutely love both of your projects! The tulips go so well with the wood grain papers and your colors look amazing! 🙂
Kelly – I love tulips! Seriously my favourite flower. And that stamp set is quickly becoming one of my favourites too. Isn’t that white, distressed DSP amazing? I agree, I could use a whole pack. Awesome projects! Thanks for sharing!
So glad you found the crate die! These projects are just so beautiful Kel. I love all the little details that you have added. Stunning.
