Welcome to our Stamp Review Crew hop!!!
You’re joining a group of very talented demonstrators from around the world as we share with you the Cool Treats stamp set, and of course, coordinating Frozen Treats framelits.
This is the featured bundle….
I’m excited to share that they didn’t end up on the retirement list and we’ll be able to play with them for another year as they appear in the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue!!!
You may have come here from the beautiful Ann Schach and her awesome Cool Treats creation! Leave Ann a comment on her blog – she personally responds to all of them – amazing!!!
This is my Cool Treats project for the hop.
It’s cool…. but not ice cream themed!
I’ve used the stamps and framelits to make a cute little troll!
Do you remember these from your childhood? I do!
It was the swirly stamp that first got me thinking down the character path.
And the framelits work really well for character art because they cut into the stamp. No white border!
Here’s the pieces you’ll need to make your own troll:
Hair – swirl stamp* in Melon Mambo
Head – scoop stamp* (upside down) in Flirty Flamingo
Ears – spoon stamp* in Flirty Flamingo
Eyes – Cookie Cutter Builder punch in Whisper White & one of the dots sprinkles dots in Basic Black marker
Nose – spoon stamp in Melon Mambo cut down to size
Mouth – hand drawn in Flirty Flamingo marker
Dress – cone stamp in Bermuda Bay cut with even edges
Arms – straight stick stamp with strawberry top stamp in Flirty Flamingo hand cut
Legs – tapered stick stamp in Flirty Flamingo hand cut
Headband – curved accent stamp in Emerald Envy hand cut
Flowers – from the upcoming Colorful Seasons stamp set in Bermuda Bay hand cut
* indicates cut with coordinating framelit
This cute little troll could be made it lots of colours!
I did have a moment when I was trying to make eyes without my long term favourite Owl Punch – can you believe it’s on the retirement list???
I’m going to have to be creative with my character art – all suggestions welcome!!
Next up on the hop is the always inspiring Yapha Mason…
Thanks for joining us,
