It’s not any ordinary Sunday around here – because it’s a long weekend in Western Australia.
Can I hear an ‘oh yeah’????
So, as the rest of the world thinks ahead to what their Monday will hold, mine will (hopefully) involve a sleep in, sunshine & yummy food!!!
But, just because it doesn’t feel like Sunday, does mean I’m going to miss a CASEing the Catty blog hop.
Today at CTC, we’re CASEing (copy & selectively edit) projects from the Cool Treats section of the Occasions catalogue – pages 32 – 45!
So many ideas within these pages and I know you’re going to love what the crew has come up with.
I’m still having a love affair with my accidentally ordered Special Reason stamps & Stylish Stems Framelits.
Thank goodness the universe is looking out for my stamping needs.
For my creations this week, I took the colours from this photo on page 42
And the layout from the bag on the right in this photo
To create this beautiful birthday card…
I even decorated the inside!
I loved this design but decided I could step it up with a few extra touches.
So, I took the embossing to the back layer, moved the ribbon and made the die cuts from glimmer, to create this sparkly version…
Subtle changes and creating a design in multiples are a couple of my favourite ways to create more than one card in a sitting for not much extra effort.
Do you like one version better than the other? I’m a proud mummy who loves both!
That’s me for today!
Please hop on to visit the lovely & talented Mel Pagano.
Given the number of amazing samples in the catalogue, I’m looking forward to lots of crafters joining us on the Facebook page this week with their CASEd projects.
Thanks for joining us. Hope you’re enjoying your Sunday night! And if you’re in WA – enjoy your day off tomorrow!
