It’s the 3rd Wednesday day of the month, which means – another Colour INKspiration palette to inspire us all!
Thanks for joining the design crew blog hop where we will show you what these colours created on our craft tables.
Then – it’s over to you to join us on our Facebook page and upload your colour-filled creations!
If you’re already hopping around, you’ve come from the bubbly & creative Nicole Wilson.
She joined us this month, along with Jacque Williams to fill the last 2 places on the crew.
So excited to have them both on board – I love their work and can’t wait to see what they come up with for the colours each month!
There’s also a full line up of guest designers – starting today with one of my favourite bloggers – Tanya Bell.
Here’s the colours for Colour INKspiration #4 – Delightful Dijon, Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White & Crushed Curry.
When thinking about these colours, for some reason they kept coming to me as a background.
Which made me think of the in-laid embossing technique.
Have you tried this?
It’s really quite easy – you cut out some shapes and adhere them to your plain background cardstock. Then run it through the Big Shot in an embossing folder of your choice.
The embossing folder will press it all together an form one cohesive background.
It’s awesome and easy and makes the most of your Big Shot’s capabilities!
Using this technique for my background, I chose to make congratulations cards for our newest crew members. Hopefully they arrive before this post goes live!!!
The first one uses the Stylish Stems flowers as the background pieces…
And the second version uses circles with a Stylish Stems embellishment –
I love them both! The texture is fabulous!
And to think, I almost wasn’t going to order stylish stems! What was I thinking???
Use whatever sets you have at home to try this technique – circles work really well. It’s so much fun!!!
Next stop on the hop is my gorgeous friend Lou Kitzelman.
If you’d like to see what everyone is creating, or join in with the challenge colours – please visit the group page on Facebook.
There’s lots going on over there and I can see this set of colours being {VERY} popular!!!
