It’s All In The Layout!

I’m stopping in quickly today to share with you a card we made at the January class – and then another variation I made, just by changing the colours.

Card making doesn’t have to be hard, or constantly inventive – one of my best tips is to create in multiples.

You can do this several ways …

  • Change the colours
  • Flip the layout to landscape (or portrait)
  • Choose a different sentiment
  • Swap in a different main image (ie, a balloon, butterfly, dragonfly, hot air balloon)

I love banners – and the Triple Banner Punch.  They are great for all types of cards, but particularly good for masculine or neutral cards.

This is the class card we made using the Urban Underground DSP & matching cardstock colours
(which is another time saving tip – let SU! help you with colour matching).

I then changed to the card to use the Succulent Garden suite – using the DSP and coordinating cardstock colours.

Next time you sit at the craft table – play around with your designs.  Make some changes and see if you can make a card that’s same-same-but-different with minimal effort.

And while you’re at it, make 2!  That’s a great way to craft efficiently!
