Happy Monday & welcome to the Stamp Review Crew hop featuring the Sunshine Sayings stamp set (and matching framelits!).
Though this awesome hop is full of international Stampin’ Up! demonstrators coming from different corners of the world, you’re in a bit of an Aussie patch at the moment!!!
I’m writing to you from the west coast of Australia – the south west corner in a country town called Bunbury.
If you’re not starting here, you’ve come from the gorgeous Nikki Spencer on the east coast of Australia – wasn’t her project lovely!
Don’t stop at this blog though, because after this you can click through to take you back east to visit Bruno’s blog.
I love the Sunshine Sayings bundle.
The font is just wonderful for the stamps & framelits and the ‘happy birthday’ is in high rotation on my cards because it fits so nicely in the Classic Label punch.
Since we’re showcasing the stamp set during these hops, I always try to make the stamps my feature.
With a set so heavy on words, than can be a bit of a challenge!
But there’s also the flower, leaf & stem stamps to use – so I did!
They look just beautiful when they are stamped and then coloured with the same colour ink using an Aquapainter.
I straightened out the stem and used it to create a haphazard border.
And finished it all with the stamped & die cut sentiments mounted on vellum.
You can see the extra flower on the envelope – it’s so nice to make it all coordinate! There’s also one on the inside of the card.
Thanks for hopping with me today. Next up is Bruno who has put his creative spin on this bundle.
If you love the designs that the demonstrators are sharing, please leave us a comment – we love to know who’s visiting!
I’d love to know where you all visit from. Cardmaking is such an international hobby – I’m always so humbled that the internet allows us to share with each other across such great distances!
Until next time,
