Hi there! As we get closer to a big week of love, today at CASEing the Catty, we’re being inspired by the “Sending Love” pages of the Occasions catalogue – pages 14-19.
When I say a big week of love, I’m not kidding in my house.
Next week sees Valentine’s Day, our wedding anniversary and Miss Papercraft’s 6th birthday.
There’s a few cards still to make on my to-do list! I should have multi-tasked, but there was a photo in the catalogue that I couldn’t go past.
I’m totally in love with the cute images from the Moon Baby stamp set, and love the catalogue sample.
But it was the ‘swirly’ type embellishment that caught my eye.
This and the cute bow die was the sole reason I bought the Balloon Pop Up Thinlits!!!
So, when I saw it in the catalogue, mixed with the Moon Baby stamp – I knew I had to CASE it!
I wanted a softer, more traditional colour pallette for my baby cards, so I created pink & mint versions.
The dotty background was a bolder version of the subtle splatter on the sample card. I made it by stamping the spotty stamp from the Perpetual Birthday stamp set in Blushing Bride or Mint Macaron, Smoky Slate & gold heat embossing.
I swapped the rectangle for the largest stitched circle – because so in love with those framelits. And it’s all about love this week!
And finished the card off with the sweet ‘twinkle twinkle’ sentiment from the stamp – gold embossed of course!
Thanks for sharing another blog hop with me! I hoping you’re enjoying all the weekly inspiration from my blog and my stamping friends.
Next up is the lovely Elizabeth Gross & her take on the same photo inspiration – you’ll love what she’s created!!!
