Hello – Sunday again! Where do the weekends go?
I had a fabulous weekend spending time with my besties from Uni. We don’t all get to spend time together very often as we all live in different places, so it’s special when it happens.
How was your weekend? Anything exciting? Lots of craft?
I’m still in love with all the gorgeous products from the Occasions & Sale-A-Braiton 2017 catalogue. It’s fun to have new things to play with.
Today’s theme for the CTC blog hop & challenge is the Cupcakes & Carousel section of the Occasions catalogue – pages 8-13.
So that means as well as the items in the Cupcakes & Carousel suite, you may also be inspired by the Lift Me Up bundle (page 10), Birthday Blast bundle (page 11), Super Duper stamp set (page 12) and Birthday Bright project kit (page 13).
I can’t wait to see what the Crew comes up with. And then what projects the members of the new Facebook group will upload!!! It’s all so exciting!
For my CTC project this week, I haven’t actually CASEd sample from the catalogue, but taken inspiration from one of the product photos.
The spread of this paper caught my attention and it thought it would make a nice feature on a card!
And it’s a great way to use up all those scraps that accumulate from using a 6″x6″ paper stack for card fronts.
I added the birthday sentiment from the Carousel Birthday stamp set, one of the beautiful new lace doilies (you can’t use these too much – have you ordered some yet?) and a flourish of Calypso Coral twine at the bottom.
I’m still trying to decorate the inside of my cards this year…
Next stop for inspiration on the CASEing the Catty hop is the delightful Rebecca Scurr (Bec does all the hard work behind the scenes for CTC!).
And, please join us for the challenge by adding your creation to the CTC Facebook page.
If you’re not already a member, you can request to join here.
If you’re inspired by any of the projects on the hop and need more supplies, my online Stampin’ Up! store is open 24/7 with low shipping rates directly to your door!

What a great way to use scraps! And a stunning card, love the doily.
Those doilies are just my favourite item in the catalogue and using the strips of dsp just make it pop.
Practical and beautiful all at the same time. This shows off that gorgeous paper so well. So clever. So talented. Awesome.
What a super idea, Kelly. The strips make a great background for the lovely doily and the inside looks great too!
