Welcome to the first official challenge for Colour INKspiraton – a Facebook based bi-monthly colour challenge.
We’ve been overwhelmed by the response to pre-challenge colour combination – you guys were really ready for this!!!
I think part of the initial success is that anyone with Facebook can join in. You don’t need a blog and you don’t need to be a demonstrator.
We’ve seen some amazing creations in the past week and the excitement in the group is infectious! Click here to join the Facebook page and see what it’s all about.
Here’s some of the basic details about the challenge –
The Colour INKspiration Crew! consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop.
Then it’s over to you with a 12 day period for crafters to upload their own creations using 3 or more of the challenge colours.
If you have a blog, feel free to link back to it, but all entries will be via Facebook. The design team will select 5 projects to be ‘design team picks’ and then the Facebook group will select an overall winner from this shortlist.
Let’s get started!
This is the first delicious set of challenge colours…
So many lovely colours to choose from – you can choose your favourite 3 – or all 6! (3 is the minimum to meet the challenge guidelines).
You can also mix in any Stampin’ Up! neutrals that you need to make your project perfect.
The first 4 colours are my favourite – so pretty and perfect for a baby card I wanted to make.
Of course, I’m playing with new products again.
The hearts are from the new Love Notes Framelits and the sentiment is from a fabulous new stamp set called Milestone Moments.
How lovely is that font??? I’m going to get a lot of use from this stamp set!
And although not new to the Stampin’ Up! range, I took the chance to buy the 2016-2018 In Color Envelope Paper pack when it was on special during the End of Year Closeout Sale.
Some people might use it for pretty envelopes (and I might too) but my first thought was – ooooo, more DSP options!!! It’s a lighter weight than usual DSP, but still perfect for card fronts.
Thanks for visiting today. Next stop is Monique Fielder and her colourful project.
If you love the challenge colours, please join us on the Facebook page and upload your creation. Or, just stop by to see what other crafty people make of the colours.
