It’s a big happy birthday to Mr Papercraft today!!!
He’s a tough customer to make cards for because his hobbies are all very similar.
Over the years, his cards have had very strong diving, fishing & boating themes.
When I saw the ice cream truck stamp set in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue, I knew this was the perfect card for 2017!
Mr P loves food made or sold from a truck!
Every festival & fair we go to, he’s in there buying ice creams and hot dogs and donuts (well, the donuts might be mine!).
{He also loves Lindt chocolate!}
Tasty Trucks is one of the free product choices during Sale-A-Bration 2017. Yours to select with any $90 order until 31st March 2017.
I used the new Love Notes Framelits to create a money pocket at the bottom of the card and tied it all up with the new cotton ribbon.
So when the ice cream truck next cruises by, he’s gone some loose change to buy a birthday ice cream!
I am always so inspired by Judy May – her card inside are as amazing as her card fronts!
Part of my 2017 crafting resolutions is to go the extra mile on the insides of my cards!
One of the new products I’m loving from the Occasions Catalogue is the Watercolour Pencils. They are beautiful on their own and amazing when finished with a blender pen or Aqua Painter.
For this card, I coloured using the Watercolor Pencils and went over the top with my blender pen, smoothing out the colour.
Colouring isn’t my strong point – and not something I do often, but these pencils are just a dream to use. They make it so easy to get a good coverage!
A little more practice and I might even be a convert!
The pencils come in a cute little box, but I can see that getting ratty over time – plus it’s a little tricky to see what colours are inside.
So, I’m housing my pencils in a clear case. They will store perfectly with my Stampin’ Write Markers and I can pop other things into the case like a Blender Pen & pencil sharpener.
If you think this would be a great way to store your pencils, then download my free printable insert by clicking here (file download via Dropbox).
The correct size for printing is 17.8cm x 14.3cm.
You can find other printable inserts for Stampin’ Write Markers & Ink Refills by searching my storage category.
If you need to purchase clear cases, you can find them in my online store. They are great for a range of stamping storage!!!
Happy birthday wishes to Mr Papercraft! I hope you enjoy all the stamps I bought you (hehe just kidding…maybe).
