It’s about the chicks this week as I continue to play & share my favourites from the upcoming Occasions & Sale-A-Bration catalogues.
Today is a Just Add Ink post and the challenge for the week is all about colour – Old Olive, Whisper White & Basic Gray.
With those colours in mind, this is the first of my little chick cards I’m sharing today.
I’m naming this little chick “Olive” and she’s a great ‘layer’!!!
I love adding layers to a card to build texture. And twine!
I {LOVE} twine!!!
I’m not sure if it was a purposeful decision to make this embossing folder reminiscent of chicken wire, but I’m loving the happy coincidence if not!!!
You’ll find this dynamic fold in the new Occasions Catalogue.
This chick, who I’m calling “Red” was one of my class cards during the week. Everyone loved the chicks!
And finally, this sweet chick was a birthday card for my bestie.
She inspired the selection of this stamp set into my stash {I’d say purchase… but I actually got it for free – don’t tell her!!!}
I’ve matched it with the Falling in Love DSP – which is just stunning!!! Also available in the new catalogue.
I’m going to call this beautiful chick “Bloss”.
That’s all my chick shares for today. There’ll be plenty more as this set is an absolute keeper.
You can earn it for free once Sale-A-Bration starts in January.

You’ve been a very busy chick! Olive is pretty darn cute (I’m yet to be convinced about this stamp set, but love what you’ve done with it!), and the effect of the embossing folder is AMAZING!!
These cards and those chicks are just too adorable!
Loving all your references to chickens and “coups” lol! Olive is gorgeous and I admit, I had to get her too 🙂 Your chicken wire EF is pretty amazing and I love all 3 of these lovely designs. xx
