As the year closes out, it’s time to start planning for 2017.
And I have some exciting news to share – there’s a new challenge coming in 2017 – Colour INKspiration.
This bi-monthly challenge is all about colours & creating to colour combinations.
It’s going to be heaps of fun, with all the action happening on Facebook, which opens it up to lots more Stampin’ Up! enthusiasts. No blog required – just join the Facebook page.
I’m delighted to be on the Colour INKspiration Crew, which means I’ll be sharing cards and projects I’ve created using the colours for each challenge. The crew consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
A new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT). which will be accompanied by a Colour INKspiration Crew blog hop. Our first one starts on Wednesday, 11th January.
Don’t forget that this challenge is open to anyone – you don’t have to be a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator to join in.
So, click here to request to join Colour INKspiration, add the group to your favourites and share it with your crafty friends so they can join in with the challenges too.
As a bit of pre-challenge fun, the group creator, Bronwyn Eastley from AddINKtive Designs surveyed the group on their favourite green, blue & yellow from the Stampin’ Up! range.
The winning combination was Mint Macaron, Bermuda Bay & Daffodil Delight.
These are all gorgeous colours and there have been some amazing creations already.
I was inspired to use these colours for succulent birthday card.
I hadn’t played with the dies from this suite before this card. I’m so pleased with them – they are lovely with excellent shapes for layering. So quick & simple to create a stunning succulent or flower centrepiece.
I added some texture to my succulent by gently sponging the leaves with Mint Macaron ink. Using the same ink as cardstock colour allows for subtle depth.
Inspired by Paula Dobson’s pre-challenge entry, I decided this card needed just a little lift – and a lined envelope would be the perfect accompaniment.
How beautiful is the DSP from the Succulent Garden suite? I just love all of the products in this range.
I can’t wait for the first challenge, which you’ll see in a few short weeks. Pop by on 11th Jan to see what me and the rest of the design team have come up with. Then, join us on Facebook to share your own creation!
Can’t wait til then??? Join us now with your Mint, Bermuda & Daffodil creation!!!
