Just Add Ink #337 – Doily & DSP

Just Add Ink Design Team

When we were attending OnStage, Shelli & Sara (founder & CEO) mentioned a few times that their favourite Stampin’ Up! products are stamps.

While I do love the SU! range of stamps, my favourite (if I had to choose just one) is designer paper!

I’m a sucker for pretty paper and still have some of my favourites from years gone by that I refuse to part with (or use the very last little bits of!).

So, when this week’s Just Add Ink #337 was a ‘choose two’ challenge, I knew DSP would be one of mine.

Just Add Ink #337 - Doily, Diecut or DSP

Then, to choose the other!!  I do also love the range of diecuts, but for a different spin, I decided to add a doily.

Deciding on those 2 would be the hard part – right?  Wrong! How does a mumma of so much DSP choose which one makes it to the card???

In the end I hunted for a design from the 2016-17 Annual Catalogue selection which hadn’t seen much love yet – and ended up with the Moroccan Designer Series Paper.

I couldn’t decided on a layout, so I created both – and I’m leaving it to you to decide which one looks best!

Do we prefer the DSP straight….

Or on a diagonal???

Traditionally, I’m a straight girl myself – but sometimes it’s good to switch it up!!!

How much does the DSP “pop” with Bermuda Bay as the card front colour?

Which 2 of the options would you choose?  Join us for the challenge – I’d love to see what you create!

  1. Love the exotic feel to these Kelly! Dressing them up with those gorgeous copper flowers and doily adds a lovely feminine spin. I think diagonal is the winner for me but it wasn’t an easy choice. xxx

  2. Glad the Moroccan dsp got some love, Kelly. Its patterns give such a great pop. But back to your question… I naturally favour the straight one, but I think the diagonal one really works with the print too, so I’m torn. And both have copper embossing so of course I’m all in with that. Hope you have a happy day.
    Hugs, D

  3. These are both gorgeous Kelly! I love how the Bermuda really makes the colours in your DSP pop and the bling of your copper flower is the perfect accessory. Hard choice but Diagonal for me by a whisker 🙂 xx

  4. Do I have to choose? I love both, truly! The copper flower looks fabulous with your chosen designer paper, Kelly. I admit to being a paper lover too, and have many hoarded bits that I just can’t part with. xx
