Hey there!

It’s a big hop today for CASEing the Catty #104 as we cruise around the South Pacific sharing projects inspired by the Petals & Paisleys section of the 2016 Holiday Catalogue.

Fair to say that this product suite is a popular one!!!

Guess what???

I don’t actually own any of the stamps or dies from this collection – oh my!!!

But, the beauty of CASEing the Catty is that you can choose what inspires you.

For me, it’s the wonderful colour combination of the Petals & Paisleys DSP.

I {LOVE} this DSP and have used it extensively for projects over the past couple of months.

So, I have used the main colours from the DSP, snippets of the DSP and taken some layout elements from the card on the right in the sample photo below…

To create this…

I told you I was loving the early release of the Stitched Shapes Framelits!!!

This card was super easy to make.  Cut 12 x the smallest stitched square die (I did three of each colour/DSP).

When tiled together, they measure 3-5/8″ x 4-3/4″.  So, I laid them out on a mat (Very Vanilla) measuring 3-7/8″ x 5″ and then on a card front with a finished size of 4-1/8″ x 5-1/4″ (4-1/8″ x 10-1/2″ before folding in half).

To finish, I added copper washi from the Affectionately Yours set, Very Vanilla twine and a happy birthday sentiment borrow from Fairy Celebration.

The twine is thinner than in it’s original form – I just pulled out a segment from the thick piece!!!

  1. You haven’t wasted any time using the stitched framelits, and why not? Thanks for sharing the measurements for the squares and layers. I’m hoping to find some time this week to create, might need to try this!

  2. I’m a pushover for a patchwork card Kelly!!! Love the inspiration here, I have the stitched framelits and I love them, and I think I can see me running a square through every pass of the bigshot and collecting a little pile of patchwork pieces ready to whip up a few of these for my sewing friends!

  3. My stitched framelits arrived yesterday and I am hoping to CASE this gorgeous card of yours. I had the DSP many weeks before I bought the stamps and dies so I can relate. We just can’t own everything but it would be nice 🙂
