This week at Just Add Ink, it’s a photo inspiration challenge – and boy it’s a good one!
Selected by Di, we are creating projects that are inspired by this photo….
There are so many places you can go with this photo!
For me, it was the woodgrain table and the red, white, black & blue colours that stuck out.
Add some banner elements – plus the numbers – and I was able to create a great card for a soon-to-be sixteen year old I know.
I even decorated the inside of the card (whoa tiger!) so I could work in the pennant from Sweet Stack – it was just right for the project!
Boy cards are hard – right??? These colours & elements from the photo work well – I encourage you to have a play with them and add your own card to the challenge.
See the full cohort of inspired projects from the design here by visiting the Just Add Ink blog here and find the linky to add your creation!

I totally agree about male cards Kelly. I’ve been trying really hard to do more this year…The struggle is real!
You’ve done a great job with the elements, l love the large banners. xx
Great “boy” card, Kelly. I actually find them the easiest kind of card to make (I know, I’m in the minority!). Love how you decorated the inside; very happy and festive.
This is such a cool guy card, Kelly! I love your mix of banners and touch of woodgrain with your large numbers. xx
This is a great card for a boy teen Kelly, a little rustic and with lots of pattern/ texture. Those banners make the perfect canvas for the big 16!.x
