It’s been mighty busy over here at Papercraft HQ, and sooooo long since I’ve had the luxury of craft time for fun, but when I saw the photo inspiration over at Just Add Ink this week, I cleared some space and made sure to join the challenge.
Why??? Because it’s tulips – one of my absolute favourite flowers.
Ironically, my finished card features no tulips! But it was what drew me in!
I used the colours from the photo inspiration, the theme of flowers and compact background pattern to create this….
The Sunshine Wishes & Sayings bundle is one of my favourites from the Annual Catalogue. I’ve had so much use from it.
But, since I make so many birthday cards, {and not so many sunshine, hope & love cards}, it’s been on my mind how I can use the thinlits for birthday purposes.
In a moment of inspiration, I decided I’d use the ‘love’ thinlit to create a ‘birthday love’ card.
Of course, I could just have used the ‘happy’ with the birthday stamp instead of masking it out, but I love the font & style of the thinlits.
Did you spy the vellum feature {again}? Vellum overlays are my current favourite trend.
{Note: It actually may not be a trend… I’m never on trend!}
I’m hoping to get back to regularly blogging soon!
I’ve got so many ideas and just not enough hours in the day!!! Anyone got quick fix on the time issue????
