I’ve seen so many amazing creations on Pinterest using the Thoughtful Branches stamp set & Beautiful Branches Thinlits!!!
Check out my Pinterest Board here.
There’s less than 2 weeks left to order this gorgeous set. It’s exclusive & limited edition, so after 31st August 2016 it will no longer be available.
I haven’t had nearly as much chance to play with this bundle as I would like!!! So, when I needed to make a swap for our team meeting this week, I knew exactly what I wanted to make.
My previous cards used the whole tree, the leaf and the bird stamps, so this time around it was a posy created with snippets of the leaves. The versatility of this set is incredible!!!
The flowers at the top/back are stamped in Rich Razzleberry.
The multi-coloured effect of the flowers at the bottom/front flowers are created using the ‘thumping’ technique.
I inked up the stamp in Blushing Bride, then ‘thumped’ it with the thick end of my Sweet Sugarplum and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Write Markers. This adds colour & depth to the stamped image. Then, stamp as normal.
I then cut out the segments of the leaves to create flowers and layered them on top of three Crumb Cake leaf segments from the Everyday Jars Framelits.
I’ve added some 2 circles (1-1/2″ & 1-3/4″) in vellum & Sweet Sugarplum as centrepiece.
Like the twine? Although similar it’s actually not my usual go-to Linen Thread. This is actually the new 5/8″ burlap ribbon pulled apart to individual strands. It’s a bit more rustic than the linen thread which makes it perfect for this project!
The card is finished on a Whisper White Thick background (C6 size) with a strip of Blooms & Bliss DSP and silver glimmer paper.
I still can’t get enough of Sweet Sugarplum (as you can see!) and I’ve never used so much Rich Razzleberry. Funny how new colours can completely change your perspective on the old!
PS, Don’t forget that anyone who purchases the Thoughtful Branches bundle from me during August will receive 2 free card kits with complete instructions. Australian customers only!
