Oh my – this week has really gotten away from me. I can’t believe that the last time I posted was for last Sunday’s CASEing the Catty blog hop!
I’m back on track this week, so look forward to hearing lots from me!!!
Today we are CASEing the Birthday section of the catalogue (pages 10-25).
It was my birthday CASE card in June that earned me my place on the design team!!!
Today I wanted to use the catalogue to inspire the layout of my card.
And then I used that sketch to make some more baby cards! They are all of sudden in short supply at my house!
Bonjour Beautiful…
And Hello Handsome (with the sketch in mirror image)…
The sketch measurements (in inches) are:
- Card base: half an A4 sheet (longways): 4-1/8″ x 5-7/8″
- Main panel: 3-1/8″ x 5-5/8″
- Skinny panel: 3/4″ x 5-5/8″
The star in the sketch outline indicates that a shape should go there. It could be a star. Or a balloon (as in the SU! catalogue), or a baby onesie (like mine from the Made with Love stamp set!).
The sentiments on my cards are from the Happy Happenings stamp set – I just love the cool & quirky options.
Sketches are only the starting point for project inspiration.
So, if you’d like to rotate, flip or mirror the sketch (like I did for the baby boy card) – go ahead!
Want to add extra (like the ribbon at the bottom of my card) – go ahead!
You are only limited by your imagination {and the stamps in your stash!}.
I’d love for you to share a card you’ve made using this catalogue inspired sketch!
You may even like to enter your card into our monthly challenge…
Next up on the hop for more catalogue inspired inspiration is the always fabulous (and chief organiser – thanks Bec) Rebecca Scurr.
For those that enjoy hopping backwards, please visit the beautiful Rachel Palmieri.
Thank you for supporting the CASEing the Catty Sunday blog hop. I hope you find lots of inspiration!!!

Love your colour choices and the clean finish of your cards. They look gorgeous! Thankyou for the inspiration!
Thanks Julia!
The foil acetate window sheet adds a special touch to your baby cards, I’ve been wondering how to begin using it, so I feel a CASE coming on! Thanks Kelly😉
The foil is awesome. As always – so much better in real life than in the catalogue!
These are stunning Kelly. I love them! And the acetate looks amazing (adds to shopping list!)
Thanks Mel! The foil is beautiful (so much better in real life than the catty!).
Super cute, both of them! A CASE for sure, thanks Kelly!
Thanks Paula!
Oh Kelly those baby cards are just too darn cute!
Thanks Deb!
Love your cards, Kelly. I nearly chose this one to CASE as well, as it is a great layout and fabulous for your baby cards. I like the cut out detail where your ribbon goes around too.
Thanks Judy!
Love your cards!! Especially with the Gold foil acetate, it’s a great touch. Oh and you’re welcome!!
Thanks Bec!
