Hello Sunday! And hello you! Thanks for joining me for the Stamp Review Crew Christmas hop. It seems fitting that for the last Sunday in July, we celebrate Christmas.
Have you started your cards yet? We’ve been making Christmas cards in my Tuesday class since May! So they will be super organised. Me – not so much so! I’m looking forward to what the Holiday catalogue brings. All will be revealed to me on Tuesday and to you in September (unless you don’t want to wait, then you’ll want to sign up as a demo in August)!
Did you love Jackie’s Christmas meets wedding inspiration??? What a fabulous take on the catalogue project! If you missed it, you can hop backwards by clicking on the previous button below. Or, click on ‘next’ at the end of this post to visit our wonderful guest designer – Tina Gillespe and go in the full circle.
So, it’s all about Christmas this week – CASEing projects from pages 26-37 of the Annual Catalogue.
I love that there’s a year-round Christmas section in the catalogue and you have options from Jan – Dec.
There was a fair bit of page flicking from me as I decided what direction my CTC project was going to take.
I have ended up making this cute packaging from page 35…
…into a Christmas card – with 2 versions.
Which one do you like better?
With the tag & big gold splash…
Or the parts recreated…???
I’m loving both – the gold, & black combination with a pop of red is fabulous!!!
But really, which one do you like?
It’s hard to miss the ‘pop’ of red – but did you notice the height of the ‘merry’?
It’s easy to make lettering stand out on a card by stacking the same die cut on top of each other – this is 6 layers. Sure beats fiddling around with tiny bits of dimensionals or foam strips!
This card would be easy to make lots of – just change up the colour combination if you want them to be different.
What are some of your favourite Christmas matches? I love white, silver & Bermuda Bay. Or Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake & Cherry Cobbler. And Elegant Eggplant with silver is another Christmas stunner for me!
We’d love for you to share your favourite colours with us for the July CASEing the Catty challenge.
Next dose of Christmas inspiration comes from guest designer – the lovely Tina Gillespe.
Fun fact, there’s less than 150 sleeps til the big day! If you make one of each of the cards on this hop, you’ll be well on your way to a nice little stash by December!

My favourite is the big circle banner and splash of Gold. And thank you for the wording tip! I love your cards and I’m super inspired by your ideas from the gift box!
Thanks Julia!
good morning,
i have been searching unsuccessfully for a long time trying to locate stamp set regarding dahlias – used is a-ok with me. do you know of anyone who may have this and would like to sell? thank you so much, christine christine.b.perry@gmail.com
Sorry Christine, that wasn’t ever a set I bought. Good luck with your search!
Both are Great projects Kelly, but I like the big gold splash!! and yes I love Eggplant and Silver for Christmas – though I think Blackberry bliss was more striking! I also love Eggplant, Cucumber and Gold together!
Thanks Liz. I miss BB too. Must try EE, CC & Gold!
I really can’t pick a favourite card, they are both fabulous!
Thanks Tina!
How clever to take a tag and turn it into two wonderful cards! Possibly the gold banner and big greeting is ahead by a nose, but the other really is just as gorgeous.
Thanks Rachel!
I left a comment then it disappeared lol! Kelly I love both of these cards, but I especially love how you have layered the die cut, what a great idea!
Thanks for leaving me another comment Deb!
As always, both cards are stunning Kelly! I love the colours you’ve chosen for these Chrissy cards. I’m in love with the second card, clean, elegant, black & gold with a hint of red. Perfect!
Thanks Krissy!
I think they are both great!! But 6 layers of Merry?? That’s cray cray!!
I know – but such a cool effect!
