I made this card for a soccer-loving teenager.
You are never too old for cards that spin!
I didn’t want the whole circle that the framelit in the Sliding Star Framelits gives, so I just cut to the half way point.
And I thought it would be a good mini-tutorial to share with you.
This works for any framelit where you only want to cut part of it.
The simple science is that you put the edge of the top plate at the point that you want it to stop cutting. And then roll through as usual.
The Big Shot cuts what is under the 2 plates and leaves the other part of the framelit uncut.
To finish it off, I snipped the edge of the semi-circle it created and made my spinner card as usual (with a soccer ball from the Silhouette Design store).
Too easy! You can now add another spinner ‘shape’ to your reportoire.
This tutorial also work for other shapes such as circles, butterflies & labels to create partial cuts on your cards & projects.
