Hello!!!  It’s my first gig as a designer for the CASEing the Catty Sunday blog hop.

Every Sunday night at 7pm (AEST), the CTC Crew will share lots of great ideas with you from the latest Stampin’ Up! Catalogue. They will either directly CASE (Copy and Share Everything) or use a sketch/layout, colour combo, embellishment, to name a few examples, as a springboard for their own creations.

This week, the Crew are showcasing ideas from the Everyday Occasions section of the Stampin’ Up! Catalogue (pages 66-91).

This is my chosen card on page 91.  The catalogue shows just the top corner of the card – but here’s a look at the full card!

I loved the colour combination and uneven paper distribution for the background.

I haven’t (yet) purchased the Superstar stamp set it features, so instead I used the Shooting Star stamp set to make a spinner card.  I thought this was fitting given this features on the same page as the sample!

It’s always so hard to pick up in the photos, but my card is sparkly & bright with both gold and clear Wink of Stella!

I also used the gold Wink of Stella pen to colour my Gorgeous Grunge splatter and then stamped as usual.  This worked beautifully!

Did you spy the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate on my card?

This is new in the 2016 catalogue – it’s gold on one side & silver on the other!!!  And it comes in 3 awesome patterns!  It’s always good to have some fancy hardware in your stash!!!

Next on the hop is another new crew member.  Allow me to introduce the supremely talented Krissy Buck!  If you’d like to go backwards, you’ll be visiting Brownyn Eastley – the creator of the CTC blog hop!

  2. Congrats on your first official CTC Crew blog and card. And such a lovely card it is! Great combination of star and globe on your spinner card, and I really like the Stella touch. Well done Kelly!

  3. Welcome Kelly! What a great card to lead off with – so many details. I love the bits already mentioned but the detail that caught my eye was the text stamped tone on tone and diminishing in darkness from the bottom to the top-beautiful!

  4. Awesome card and what a fabulous card to show for your first post to this great blog!! I love all the gold details, and thank you for the fantastic tip about stamping with the gold wink of stella – must try that one!! I love your card!! It’s fun AND gorgeous!!
