Fairy Celebrations – How could I resist???

Today is day 3 of my new catalogue “box of fabulousness” sharing.

And today it’s all about fairies!

When I saw the Fairy Celebration stamp set in the new catalogue I knew that would be on my order!  With 2 Little Misses in the house – it’s a perfect fit for the type of cards I need to make!

Today’s card was designed for the Global Design Project #040 where we are CASEing Shawn de Oliveira.

I loved Shawn’s layout and watercolour effect, so took these features and married them with the colours & style I wanted for my fairy card.

This is the result:

Global Design Project #040 - Fairy Celebration Birthday Card CASEing the layout from Shawn de Oliveira. Kelly Kent - mypapercraftjourney.com.

The background was made by sponging Pool Party, Sweet Sugarplum, Blushing Bride & Mint Macaron ink onto the Watercolor Wash background stamp and stamping this onto my Whisper White cardstock.

I then stamped the fairy stamp using Basic Gray Archival ink and using the above colours plus Crumb Cake, I coloured the stamp a little more with my Blender Pen.  And of course the fairy is finished with a layer of clear Wink of Stella – oh, how I love that magic pen!!!

This super sweet fairy stamp set is going to see a lot of ink. With 2 girls in the house, there’s going to be a lot of fairy cards in our future!  And I can’t wait!  Kelly x
