Timeout Tuesday – Just Add Sympathy

It’s been another Timeout Tuesday here at Papercraft HQ.

Because it’s school holidays, the biggest Little Miss has been around but happy watching Sooty & Sweep on You Tube (ahh the childhood memories) and playing at the craft table with my box of scraps.

Great hobbies start young. Kelly Kent - mypapercraftjourney.com.

While she’s been busy, I’ve still managed some craft time of my own – working on my Just Add Ink card for the week.  The theme is Just Add Sympathy – which is always a hard category of cards to make.

There’s some fabulous inspiration from the design team & challenge entries – so I’ve bookmarked the page for future reference (bookmarked on Pinterest of course!).

This is my card using my newly acquired (JAI – how did you know!) but very classic Thoughts & Prayers stamp set.  When I was making sympathy cards a couple of weeks ago I realised I didn’t own a dedicated sympathy set {now I do!}.

Just Add Ink #306- Sympathy. Mint Macaron & Vanilla colour scheme with Thoughts & Prayers stamp set & Pretty Petals DSP. Kelly Kent - mypapercraftjourney.com.

The paper from the Pretty Petals DSP stack matches perfectly with the tree from the Thoughts & Prayers stamp set!  And the Mint Macaron & Very Vanilla colour scheme is so serene – it’s perfect!

Don’t you love it when it all comes together?  Kelly x

  1. So soft, pretty & peaceful, Kelly. I love the combination of the paper & embossed tree with the texture of the ribbon. Lovely!
Always happy to see you playing along with us at JAI.
    hugs, D
PS: Awww, Sooty & Sweep. So cute. I watched them as a kid in Scotland…& I’m a lot older than you 😀

    1. Thanks Di! Next time I might sit down & watch too. I don’t think the new episodes would be as good as our childhood ones!
      PS, I don’t now if I would say you’re ‘a lot’ older. Slightly? 🙂

  2. Love so many of the details you added to this Kelly – the colours and the tiny blossoms on the tree are just two of them. Gorgeous photo of your little one too 🙂 Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week.
