CASEing the Invite – GDP#028 & JAI#303

It’s another challenge double header with the Just Add Ink (Just Add “E”) challenge and Global Design Project (CASE the Designer) perfectly intertwining!

Over at Just Add Ink #303, they are adding “E”.  Which means Easter, eggs, elephants and for me – Elegance!

At Global Design Project #028, it’s time to case one of my favourite Artisan Design Team members Jessica Williams.

One of the cards on my to-do list for the week was a wedding card for the weekend.

My card is a combination of Jessica’s card layout with a touch of lace & ‘elegance’ as I pulled part the wedding invite and used the materials to create a very special wedding card.

One of my favourite card making party tricks is to use the original invite in some capacity in the actual card.  This works beautifully for weddings when the invites are usually fabulous works of art in the first place!  Hence, CASEing the invite!

For this wedding card, I used the card base, card front, lace & ribbon together with the super cute Pedal Pusher stamp set.  The wedding theme is black & white, but I couldn’t resist putting in a little Real Red & Cherry Cobbler to create a classic (and elegant) wedding colour combination.

I often wonder if the recipients notice their original features. Not that it matters, because I always have fun making their cards!  Nothing like a bit of a creative twist to keep things interesting!  Kelly x

PS, Did you notice the addition of the wedding cans from the Beautiful Ride stamp set?  I couldn’t resist adding a little more touch of wedding (and maybe decreasing the elegance level slightly!!!).
