Happy St Patrick’s Day!
Although there won’t be any formal celebrations of this lucky day at Team Papercraft HQ, I wanted to make a card for a fabulous Irish lady I work with. Unofficially, she’s the events coordinator for the office. She decorates the staff room for major celerations – usually with themed chocolates, which makes her very popular!
I love the fun she brings to my working life, so I’ve made a little card to pop on her desk to wish her a wonderful day and say thank you for being awesome.
I’m a bit of a theme creator myself – but by favourite product. And at the moment it’s the Playful Pals stamp set (have you noticed?).
It’s perfect for building cute little characters – like this cheeky little leprechaun.
You can make your own leprechaun too…
Hat: Large solid oval
Clover: Small teardrop
Face: 1-3/4″ circle punch, wide set eyes & mouth stamps
Beard: Small solid oval
Body: Solid triangle
Arms & Legs: Solid trunk (trimmed)
Hands: Scalloped circle from Tree Builder punch
The balloon are supposed to look like a lucky 4-leaf clover. The heart shaped balloon from the Balloon Builders stamp set was perfect for this idea and I think it works well!
I splashed Wink of Stella on quite a few parts of the card – Gold on the left side of each balloon and top & bottom points of his beard; Clear on the balloons (all over!) and his hat.
I hope you have a lovely St Patrick’s Day today and that something lucky happens to you. It’s also Cup Day in Bunbury (the biggest horse racing event of the year) – so it’s going to be a rauchous atmosphere here in the South West for some!!!
No race day for me though, it’s my ‘real work’ day but I am excited about Mr Papercraft being home again and going out to dinner with my family! Family times are happy times here at Papercraft HQ. I feel lucky everyday! Kelly x
