It’s the weekend – woo hoo! I hope this means some time at the craft table for you. It’s a little of that for me and also some Mummy duties – not all play for the wicked!
I promised you some Playful Pal creations, and here is another one…
The inspiration for this creature came from the birthday present – a Duck & Goose book. I thought a matching duck card would be just perfect.
The cute little duck was easy to make with the Playful Pal pieces. I could have used the matching Pyramid Pals thinlits, but opted for fussy cutting to get a ‘no border’ effect (for all the pieces except the bow). I don’t mind the odd bit of fussy cutting – call me crazy!
After using the Playful Pals bundle, the only thing I wish it had was some oval ‘princess’ eyes. So many cartoon & drawn characters have these rather than the heavy lidded eyes in the set. I think it makes poor ducky look a little sad 😦 If you’ve got any ideas to make her a little happier, I’d love to hear from you! Kelly x

Too too cute! I think she looks great and maybe a touch shy not sad. Could you use the eyes from the owl builder punch to layer for a different look? Either way you are twisting my arm even more to get this bundle!
Oh thanks Lou. I think if you knew it would carryover, you’d add it to your next order! 🙂 Always a risk!
Hopefully there will be a set in the future with oval shaped eyes – that would be my ideal!
