Just Add Ink – Back for 2016 “Something New”

Just Add Ink is back for 2016.  If you follow me, you’ll know that JAI is my favourite challenge blog.  New challenges appear on a Friday and you have until Wednesday night to enter.  Each week is a different theme, sketch, colour combination or inspiration – so much variety and always a great place to start for a unique design.  Plus, the design team are super talented and make awesome cards!  Jump over and have a looksie!

The first challenge for 2016 is to Just Add Something New.  This isn’t too much of a challenge for a die-hard Stampin’ Up! fan like me – I have a ever-growing stack of new pretties from the just released Occasions catalogue.  And would you believe, some that I haven’t even inked … until now!

For my cards, I have used the same materials & varied the layout.  This gave me three cards (with designs 2 & 3 being the quickest cards I’ve made all week! – and that’s why I love making cards in multiples or sets).

Did you spot all the new products?  You’ll notice I’m still adding Wink of Stella to everything that crosses my craft table!  Have you ordered yours yet???  Kelly x

  1. Wow, Kelly. I love that you’ve made a little set of cards – such a great idea when you have all the supplies on your desk! I love all the pink, and Wink (of course). Couldn’t for the life of me work out where that gorgeous scribble circle came from – wondered if I hadn’t pored over the new catty quite as often as I thought I had lol. Now I see in your supply list it’s a PL set. Clever! Gorgeous little addition of the enamel dots. So glad you’ve joined the blog hop with us. x

  2. All three look great Kelly! I love how you brought the earthy natural tones in with the linen thread and crumb cake base – grounds them beautifully. Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink for our blog hop.

  3. Just gorgeous Kelly! I LOVE the colour combo. It’s so pretty! Might have to use that one myself 😉 Love the circles and love that all three cards have the same elements but all look different. Thanks for joining us this week at Just Add Ink! Rochelle xo

  4. What a beautiful set of cards, love the colours and the slightly different layouts. Thanks so much for playing along with us in the Just Add Ink blog hop 🙂

  5. These are so lovely Kelly, the candy stripe dsp and cute details are so fresh and fun..love the wink of stella sparkle too! Thanks for joining us Kelly and for your lovely comments regarding JAI. xx

  6. The hardest part of this challenge was picking which new products to use. Love your choices, Kelly – it’s great seeing different sets mix & match together. Your set of cards are so fresh, modern & fun with a great colour combination (but don’t make me buy that swirl – it’s been calling me) & of course adding the ‘wink’ was of course genius (put it on all the things – LOVE!).
Thanks too for your lovely words about JAI. We love you playing along too & really appreciate you joining us for our first challenge this year.
    Hugs, Di 🙂

  7. I love how you have used the same elements to make the 3 different cards – great idea. Lovely soft colours too. Chantell JAI
