Retire the Woodlands TIEF? Yeah, Nah…

There was a collective gasp when the Woodland Embossing Folder was on the retired list for the 2015 Holiday catalogue.

Surely it had long running potential – especially with the gap it fills for masculine themed cards.

Stampin’ Up! must have heard the noise because they have reconsidered and will be adding it back to the range in the 2016 Annual Catalogue.  So, although it will be MIA for a short while, it will soon be available again!

Which is good news, because you can all try this super cool technique inspired by Ann Craig. If you click through to Ann’s blog, she has a great step-by-step tutorial to guide you through making your own ‘through the trees’ card.

This is my version using the parachuting action man from the Boys Will Be Boys stamp set.

I’ve been reading Nora Roberts “Chasing Fire” about smokejumpers in the US (Zulies) and I think that had some influence on my choice of design!

Through the Woodland Tree Technique. Boys Will Be Boys stamp set. Kelly Kent - mypapercraftjourney.com.

This is a great technique, with lots of stamps in the range that would work well behind the trees.  The only limit in the Woodlands is your imagination!  Kelly x
