No Bones About It – 2015 Catalogue Fave!

Well, there’s “No Bones About It“, this stamp set was first on my list for the new catalogue and I’ve been loving using it.  You get both the shapes & bones for 4 different dinosaurs plus some cool accessories & sentiments.

Although it’s geared towards cards for young kids (boys in particular), there are some great examples on Pinterest of cards using this stamp set for older men (think ‘fossil’ themed), dinosaur wall art & pink dinosaurs for girls.  The rustic style goes particularly well with the Layered Letters stamp set.

These are some of the dino-creations I’ve made recently.

The first one is a CASE of a card I loved that was designed by Davette Miller & blogged by Dawn Griffith.  I think it uses the stamp set to it’s full potential.

This is my version:

The next card was something I wanted to try as soon as I saw the stamp set – a card styled on the recently released Jurrasic World movie.  The always useful Gorgeous Grunge is great for the background & the black embossed T-Rex is an awesome centerpiece.  The sentiment is Silhouette cut using the Jurassic Park font.

The final card is another one I was excited about as soon as I saw the dino skeletons – how much would a little birthday boy or girl like a card with glow-in-the-dark dinosaurs???  Now, before you get too excited, Stampin’ Up! haven’t added glow-in-the-dark embossing powder to their range, but it is available if you shop around (I got mine from ebay).

This is the card:

And the glowing dinosaurs – apologies I couldn’t get a better photo, you’ll just have to trust me that the effect is awesome in real life!

I hope this stamp set sticks around for a while – it’s lots of fun and dinosaurs are always a winner!  Kelly x

I have been thinking about this stamp set for a while, but have held off because my boy is probably a little old for it, but now you have convinced me I just have to get it.
