The No Sentiment Card – JAI273 & Demo Designs Sketch

Hello!  How was your weekend?  Mine was lovely with a great balance of fresh air, time with the kids and some time at the craft table.  I made a few cards over the weekend, which I’ll share with you this week.

Today’s share is for the Just Add Ink #273 colour combo challenge.

I also used the sketch that Sylvia Buist provided for the ESAD Demo Designs challenge.

Although I didn’t set out to create a card without a sentiment, by the time I’d made the middle section, I didn’t want to add anything else too major.  I think the pearls are a nice touch.

Personally, I love having ‘blank’ cards in my stash – they can be used for any occasion, with the sentiment being added as a personal touch.

I’ve been itching to use the script side of the paper stack DSP – it’s just so stunning!  Thanks to JAI & Sylvia – I always find challenges so inspirational.  Kelly x

  1. This is so gorgeous and such a brilliant use of the challenge colours. I think you made the right choice about not adding a sentiment, it doesn’t need anything else and the pearls are perfect! So very glad you joined us at Just Add Ink!

  2. Such a beautiful use of the colours Kelly and I love the added texture of the Burlap banner between the Blackberry layers. Thanks for joining us again at Just Add Ink 🙂

  3. Kelly the bermuda flower is a gorgeous topper for all those wonderful layers (the text was a perfect choice). Love how the ink colours looks stamped on crumb cake! Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week.

    1. Thanks Kim. I thought I’d managed a whole colour challenge without adding in any extras – then realised I’d used Whisper White craft ink! I’ll keep trying 🙂

  4. You really rocked the colours, Kelly. Love your cluster of elements. They have so much texture & interest. Leaving a sentiment off is all good with me too. Love it.
Thanks for playing again at JAI.
    Di 🙂
