In Australia, today is Anzac today which marks the landing of the first troops at Gallipoli in 1915 and is an annual commemeration of all the Australians who have served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations (you can read more here). This year is particularly special because it is the centenerary or 100th anniversary of the landing.
