Honeycomb Flowers – JAI 249 & PPA 238

This week at Just Add Ink it’s a sketch challenge using a honeycomb element as the main inspiration.  For me, this sketch took me on a ‘one thing lead to another’ journey with a card that evolved as I went.

This is the sketch:

This is the colour combination I used, thanks to Pals Paper Arts – such a winner, I love grey & pink together.

And here is the card:

It was a challenge in itself using the Butterfly Basics stamp set without any beautiful butterflies in sight!  Kelly x

  1. Kelly, this is beautiful! You’ve used the gorgeous colours so nicely, and I love that you used ‘cut out’ rather than solid hexagons. The bow and paper ‘ribbon’ are a perfect finishing touch. Thanks for joining in the fun at Just Add Ink this week. 🙂

  2. “Beautiful”…Gorgeous use of the sketch Kelly and the colours were a perfect choice, great challenge combo and l love the delicate details too. Thanks for playing at JAI.

  3. Very soft & pretty card, Kelly & a great take on both challenges. I love that hexagon hive die & the bow is a very sweet touch.
Thanks for playing at Just Add Ink again this week.
    Di 🙂

  4. Gorgeous card Kelly! I too love how you’ve used the negative outline of the hive and offset that beautiful bow. Such pretty colours too! Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week 🙂
