Punch Art Flashback – TMNT

If you grew up in the 80s, then like me, you’ll remember the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles like they were your best friends! Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael & Donatello.  Which one was your favourite?  I always liked the leadership & intelligence of Leonardo.

Well, like lots of my childhood favourites, everything old is new again and TMNT are back in vogue!  This set of punch art cards is a tribute to the men in green – Cowabunga, dude!  Kelly x

Totally Awesome Punch Art Breakdown:

Head: 1-3/8″ Circle

Mask: 1-3/8″ Circle, double cut with Large Oval, bottom curve cut off, Bitty Banner Framelits

Eyes: Owl Builder

Mouth: 1″ Circle, double cut

Shell Front: 3/4″ squares, corner rounded

Belt: 1/4″ strip, Owl Builder

Arms: 1-3/8″ Circle double cut, Small Oval cut down to size, 1″ Circle double cut

Hands: 7/8″ Scallop Circle double cut with 1″ Circle

Legs: 1-3/4″ Circle double cut, Small Oval top & bottom cut off, 1-3/8″ Circle double cut

Feet: 1-3/4″ Scallop Circle double cut with 1″ Circle

Note: “double cut” punching refers to a shape that has been cut more than once.  Using the same size circle to cut your circle again will result in an oval shape when cut one way & crescent shape when cut the other.
