Happy World Cardmaking Day 2014!

HAPPY WORLD CARDMAKING DAY!

Apart from finding an awesome hobby that keeps me busy and lets my creative side loose, one of the things I love the most about cardmaking & papercraft is the uniqueness of what you can create.  So, it was perfect (I thought!) to share with you today – on World Cardmaking Day – a card I made during the week for a special little baby with a special name.  I was allowed free reign for this design – yay!.  I knew that baby Moses’ Mum & Dad are both keen surfers, so decided I would create a Daddy surfboard, a Mummy surfboard & a baby surfboard, and personalise it with his name on the bottom.  It ended up super cute & I have heard that the parents love it.  And, that is the best praise ever when someone loves what you make.

So, I hope you have a great day and find some time to celebrate what it is about cardmaking that you love.  Kelly x

PS, My surfboards were made by tracing (then cutting) the outside edge of the largest Feathers Framelits – a bit different but it worked!
