Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs Poss

Today is the first wedding anniversary of my dear friends – Mr & Mrs Stewart.  I have made a card for them, but since they are in the process of moving from up north to out east (via the middle), the first they see of their card will be in this blog post!  So, Cait & Chris, we wish you a wonderful anniversary celebration and many more years of happiness.

The card: Their anniversary card has the same colours as their wedding card (see below for the backstory).  I selected the simplistic design of the Circle Card Thinlits Die.  Inspired by Chlo’s Craft Closet, I’ve been wanting to try the Porthole Flip Card (original instructions here) for a while but needed a suitable occasion.  I am in love with the finished product.  The Champagne Glimmer Paper sets it off perfectly.  Ahhh, love!  It makes for such a perfect greeting card theme.  Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs “Poss”.  With lots of love, Kelly x

Back in May 2013 … The wedding card was a fancy fold design.  I used the colour palette from their wedding – Wild Wasabi, Peach Parfait & Calypso Coral (since I helped to make some of the wedding reception stationary, I had great inside knowledge), with a punch art Combi on the front (which was the wedding day chariot).  This matched their wedding present, which was a drawing of a customised Combi van by the very talented Suzanne Houghton.  I do love it when things match!  Being able to design your own cards, means that the only limits are the ones you put on yourself.  It’s resulted in so many cards with a beautiful personal touch, and that’s why I love card making – creating something special, custom & personal.
