Workshop Wonder – Project 1

Over the next week or so, I’m going to share with you the projects (and some of the display cards) I made with the lovely ladies that attended my in-home workshop yesterday.  We used products from the Occasions catalogue, highlighting what an amazing range of new products SU! has brought out in 2014.  We also used products from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue.  With still a whole month to take advantage of SU!’s generosity, I know I’ll be earning a few more to add to my collection.

Project 1: Washi Tape Boxes

Washi Tape Box - Workshop WM

These gorgeous little triangle treat boxes were designed by the incredibly talented Tanya Bell over at Stamping T!  The tutorial is available for purchase on her page, and well worth it.  The time Tanya puts into all her work is evident in the quality of the tutorial – with complete instructions and the link to the you tube video so you can see a full demonstration as well.

The ladies at my workshop made one of these each using Retro Fresh Washi Tape, Retro Fresh DSP, Deco Labels Framelits (for the embellishment on the outside and the flap cutting on the inside), cardstock in coordinating colours – Coastal Cabana, So Saffron, Tangerine Tango, Baked Brown Sugar & Very Vanilla, ink in coordinating colours – So Saffron, Tangerine Tango & Coastal Cabana, Petal Parade (SAB) Stamp Set, Chalk Talk Stamp Set, 1 & 3/8″ circle punch.  I always love seeing the subtle differences between the finished projects – using a different DSP or different combination of washi tape.  They took a little more time to make than I’d anticipated, so I was grateful that we had a lazy Sunday to spend at the craft table.  We had such a lovely time that no one was in a hurry to leave!

And for all those who are Stampin’ Up! devotees and Thermomix lovers – we had Apple Tea Cake for morning tea.  Yum yum!!!  Kelly x
